From Darkness to Light: Understanding the Moon’s Dark Side -
Join Professor Steve Kortenkamp, Ph.D., in the Eos Planetarium Theater to explore the realities, misconceptions, myths, and metaphors surrounding the dark side of Earth's natural satellite, the Moon. Sit back and enjoy visual aids on the planetarium dome complemented by a collection of 3D-printed tactile models of the moon's surface. These models will be passed through the audience to help individuals and the visually impaired engage with the lunar surfaces found on the dark side of the moon.
Steve Kortenkamp is an Associate Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona's Lunar & Planetary Laboratory.
