From Darkness to Light: Understanding the Moon’s Dark Side - 

Join Professor Steve Kortenkamp, Ph.D., in the Eos Planetarium Theater to explore the realities, misconceptions, myths, and metaphors surrounding the dark side of Earth's natural satellite, the Moon. Sit back and enjoy visual aids on the planetarium dome complemented by a collection of 3D-printed tactile models of the moon's surface. These models will be passed through the audience to help individuals and the visually impaired engage with the lunar surfaces found on the dark side of the moon.

Steve Kortenkamp is an Associate Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona's Lunar & Planetary Laboratory.

Tickets are $15 per person and include:

• Live lecture in the planetarium
• Special evening admission to all science exhibits

Science Exhibit Admission Included - 6:00 to 10:00PM

Visit our science exhibits throughout the evening to learn about planetary science, marine biology, geology, and more. The exhibit halls will be decked out in special lighting and music during this event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon album release.
