The Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium inspires visitors of all ages with the wonders of science. Located on the University of Arizona campus, Flandrau offers planetarium shows powered by a state-of-the-art fulldome digital projection system and hands-on science exhibits about science topics from earth to space, and more. Your two-hour private experience will include an hour to explore interactive exhibits and an hour in the Eos Planetarium Theater to relax, sit back, and enjoy a planetarium show of your choosing!

Flandrau has implemented safety measures following guidelines issued from the University of Arizona, local and state governments, and the Center for Disease Control to limit and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. 

COVID-19 Changes

Please take a moment to review some of the changes we’ve implemented. We ask you to please adhere to the new guidelines for the safety and well-being of all

•    All visitors, age 2 and older,  are required to wear a face covering that covers the nose, mouth, and chin throughout the duration of your visit. If you need to briefly remove your mask to take a drink of water, please be sure to promptly replace your mask. Face coverings are also required outside on any University of Arizona property where continuous physical distancing of at least 6 feet is difficult or impossible to maintain.
•    If you or a member of your group have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 or someone with symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 72 hours, please reschedule your visit for a later date.
•    If you or someone in your group is feeling ill or experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19, please reschedule your visit for a later date.
•    High touch components have been removed from the exhibit floor and replaced with individual exhibit kits that are thoroughly sanitized between uses. Visitors are issued a stylus for use on touchscreens, elevator buttons and other exhibit interactives.
•    Hand-sanitizing stations are available throughout the science center.
•    Enhanced cleaning protocols have been implemented including frequent sanitizing of high-touch areas throughout the exhibit halls and restrooms as well as sanitizing the theater between uses.


Tickets are nonrefundable. If you are unable to visit during your ticketed date and time, you may call us at 520-621-4516 by 5 PM, the day prior to your visit, to reschedule or cancel.
